COREY MCPHERSON NASH CLIENTS SELECTED AS A 2004 MITX AWARDS FINALISTS
Buckingham Browne and Nichols School, Harvard Business School, and Oxfam America Recognized as One of New England's Best
WATERTOWN, Mass. - Oct. 19, 2004 -- Corey McPherson Nash (CMN/ http://www.cmndesign.com), an award-winning integrated design firm providing branding, advertising, print and interactive services, today announced three of its clients have been selected as finalists in The 9th Annual MITX Awards. Buckingham Browne and Nichols School (BB&N) and Harvard Business School were recognized in the educational institution category, Oxfam America in the Nonprofit category. Held annually by the Massachusetts Innovation&Technology Exchange, the MITX Awards recognize excellence in the creation of interactive technologies designed, produced or developed in New England.
Begun in 1996, the MITX Awards have grown to become the most prestigious awards competition for New England's interactive professionals, as well as the largest technology awards showcase in the country.
"Once again, our submissions came from virtually every segment of the economy," said Kiki Mills, Interim Executive Director of MITX. "Taken as a whole, our awards show how, in less than a decade, interactive technology has become a core technology for businesses, nonprofits, educational institutions, and many other industries."
For BB&N, its Web site is truly a mode of communication, both with its students and parents and with the outside community. CMN created a site that is at once prestigious and approachable, providing easy access to up-to-date information. Gracious use of candid photography and a clean yet colorful layout enhance the user experience and suggest a sense of intimacy and immediacy.
CMN worked with Harvard Business School to redesign its MBA Program web site. The new site communicates the HBS brand promise "to educate leaders who make a difference in the world."The site aligns the online experience of the site visitor with the experience of the campus visitor.
Through a Web site redesign, CMN helped Oxfam America with its public education efforts to increase awareness of the group's mission; assist with fund raising goals; and build a platform to support the organization's growing online community. CMN used a mix of both professional photography, as well as amateur photography taken at field sites, to illustrate the power of Oxfam America's programs in action.
"We're thrilled to have three of our clients recognized for their work and committed to their brand," said Andrea Naddaff, partner at Corey McPherson Nash. "In education, Harvard Business School and Buckingham Browne and Nichols are at the forefront, looking to their brand to help recruit top staff and student and communicate to alumni. Oxfam America is using its brand to further educate to the community and generate world support. CMN is honored to be a part of their brand experience."
CMN and their clients will be recognized with the other finalists in the categories a gala awards ceremony traditionally attended by over 800 of the region's top technology and business professionals. Winners will be announced at the ceremony in the Boston Copley Place Marriott on Wednesday, November 10th. Tickets can be purchased at www.mitxawards.org.
